Below is a link to the latest SubLab XL beta built for Sequoia :muscle:

In this version we have fixed the following:

  1. The audio engine was not working in Standalone mode, which meant you had no sound and presets did not change.
  2. AAX is now included and is build for Apple Silicone and tested in the latest Protools 2024.6.0

standalone worksā€¦ vst3 Launch button does nothing and reopening a project makes me log in again.

but after closing ableton and opening it again it works again

please get the beta OS releases so yall can be on top of this in the future, its terrifying to think about having a broken project

100% RileyInapierā€¦from our calculations though we should be good from here on out as we swapped around how it checks the macOS version inside SubLab & XL.

This 100% does not work!!! Whatā€™s the deal? It crashes upon launch, and now I canā€™t even login into my account or reset my password. FRUSTRATING. Plus this is a beta not an actual release??!

@William_Evans I need more info in order to help you.

  1. You say you canā€™t log in. @Julia can you make sure that William has an active account and that he has SubLab in there.
  2. You say it is crashing, is this standalone, VST AU etc? Also what is your DAW if it is not the standalone.

@Gavin_FAW My apologies in advance, just realized I was responding in the wrong thread. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Was on mobile on desktop now.

SublabXL 1.0.4 is only experiencing a standalone version bug on my machine after removing SublabXL and using this version. The plugins AU, VST, and VST3 work solid in Ableton 12 (12.1) with no hiccups Iā€™ve noticed yet.

However, in the standalone app audio engine does not start nor does preset selection work. Staying frozen on the ā€œAnalog Moog 808ā€ preset.

To clarify the steps to reproduce:

  1. Open SublabXL from applications.
  2. Play any key on a MIDI keyboard, with no audio playback.
  3. Go to select a preset from the middle UI and no presets are selectable, I can click on them however it does not load it, but all presets are viewable.

Ok, the standalone bug was fixed in Beta 3ā€¦let me double check that the script has copied into the installer the correct standalone. One thing, again you can check the date it was created , below is what I am seeing here, note the new build date. It looks like your on 21 Oct 20204, where as the newest beta 3 on my computer is showing 24 Oct 2024!

1.0.4 Beta 3 crashes Logic and at launch in stand alone on Sequoia.

@qvistā€¦Iā€™ll need to see the full crash reportā€¦can you send it via email to support@futureaudioworkshop.com and Iā€™ll have a look.

You say it crashes Logic, does it do this at launch or is it while using the plugin? If while using the plugin are there any steps to recreate the issue?

Ok, this is probably something related to the folders that it is copying the key file intoā€¦is it possible that you are not logged in as an administrator?

This afternoon Iā€™ll update a new version of SubLab XL that will produce more info in the crash report, Iā€™ll send you the link via PM. Then all you need to do is run that and send me the report and we should have a clear picture.

Iā€™ve used Permissions Reset app ( for OS) on my vst components etcā€¦ it worksā€¦

So far, so good to me on MacOS 15.1 in Bitwig 5.2.5, activated, presets loading, seems to be functioning. More testing, but good job on the beta so far!
