this post is honestly very confusing. I have an m1 macbook pro and i’m running pro tools. pro tools requires aax files to support plug-ins, so this is very unclear about which one i need. do i need the m1 support or the aax support? in any event sublab stand alone works but does not show up in pro tools as an instrument
Hey! Please use > this installer
Please make sure that your DAW is closed and the standalone app is also closed while running the installer. Once install is complete, reboot your Mac and then try to activate.
Hey @joshualooman,
It is confusing, but will try to bring some clarity.
- As it stands, we have two installers for SubLab. One is for 32bit and 64bit Intel chips and a second for 64bit Intel and M1+…if you have M1 Macbook, you want the second installer. If you have an Intel 64bit you can use either of the two and if you have a 32bit DAW, then you want the first.
- Protools was 64 bit Intel only up until recently. This is what most people were running. SubLab works and you would use the second installer, even if you had an M1+ chip. Protools ran as 64 bit Intel and load the 64bit AAX of SubLab. Avid have now released an M1+ compatible version of Protools. We’re going to have to do an update, run through tests and if it works release a version.
Any updates about the official release date or beta 2+?
Hi @dbacks2196 let me check with the developers
Thanks! I appreciate it
Hey guys- I’m getting all sorts of clicks/pops when playing my imported samples.
I’m running Sonoma / Logic Pro 11.
Hi there, Could you send me a couple of samples that you’re importing so I can test them out here?
Also, could you please launch SubLab, click the “sublab” icon in the top left corner and then take a screenshot of this info page so we can confirm which version you’re running?
Any news on an official release of Apple Silicon support? The beta has been out since 2022. Also, the Beta does not work at all on macOS Sequoia…
