Crash upon quitting Sublab

Im running on Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91) with the newest version of the Sublab 1.1.9 Beta.
Upon deleting the plugin from a track, deleting a track with the plugin on it, quitting my daw while having sublab loaded, it crashes the DAW. same for my standalone application. It happens both on the vst3 and AU version in both Ableton and Logic. I’ve been urged on by your support to Gavin for troubleshooting as this is rendering the plugin almost unusable.

Thanks in advance

Hey @wendt1998,

Just to confirm, what you are saying is that in any of the cases below it crashes:

  1. Deleting a track with SubLab
  2. Removing SubLab as an instrument on a track.
  3. Quiting the DAW while Sublab is on a track.

And it happens in Live and Logic.

I haven’t seen this before which leads me to think that it might be related to your setup. Please answer the questions below.
A. Are you running any external monitors?
B. Does the standalone crash?
C. Are you logged in as an admin?
D. Does it crash when you have the interface open or closed? You can check this by opening the interface of sublab and then deleting the track.
E. Is there anything that you think could be causing the issue, like did you move sublab’s folder around to a second disk?
F. Is SubLab XL working ok?

A. It happens regardless of external monitor usage
B. The standalone crashes upon being quit (x pressed in the corner of the window or command+q)
C. am logged in as admin
D. it happens regardless of the UI being open or closed
E. It started happening in november, so i don’t know if thats a mac update or sublab update as it happens on different previous versions your support team has sent me
F. i don’t own sublab xl but the demo seems to be working fine after checking

Just on point A, you say it happens regardless of external monitor usage, but that does mean you have an external monitor?

Thanks,
Gavin.

from time to time yeah, i will be having a monitor connected, but the issue seems completely detached from the fact. it happens in both cases

Yeah, I’m just trying to figure out what could be up, a second monitor might explain why it is crashing…what I will do is produce a special build of the standalone and then you can copy that into the /Applications folder and run it. Then when it crashes we’ll have a proper crash report that I can read and see what it up.

I’ll do the build tomorrow and send you over a link to download and copy in…

Check your pms @wendt1998, I’ve sent you the build as promised.

Thanks,
Gavin.
