SubLab feature requests thread!

So what is the time frame looking like for that new update?

@Hitplaybeats we’re still working through everything here. We’re going to release a version in the next days that lets SubLab work on Catalina, then we’re starting anther big update that will include the import sample folder.

LOVE THESE REQUESTS!!!

POINT 1 is AWESOME!!

Also some simple FM modulation between the three engines would be awesome

I would love for this plugin to be my ONE AND ONLY ALL PURPOSE BASS SYNTH with extensive sound design :open_mouth:

Would be nice to be able to lock the master output in place. So it doesn’t change as I change presets.

Hey @Akadeem,

Do you mean that the master volume slider doesn’t move when you change presets?

Gavin.

Yeah. Would be nice if that parameter could be locked.

Hey @Akadeem, it is a bit tricky to add parameter lock to an individual parameter, I’ll put the feature in the backlog and will see how we are going over the next couple of versions and will implement it if more people request it.

Thanks!
Gavin.

Was messing around with sublab after seeing a tutorial for reverse 808s, from what I can tell they aren’t actually reversed it’s being manipulated by a velocity ramp, sublab doesn’t have any velocity controls or are they hidden?

SubLab does have a velocity ramp actually! You can turn it on/off using the settings hamburger button on the top bar.

Btw, where is this tutorial video, wouldn’t mind seeing it myself. Can you post a link?

I have an X-sub feature request, which straightforward. “Root note” for the X sub.
i really hate it when i’m in for example A minor, and I hit the Tonic that i want to rumble, and it jumps an octave higher than the last C or D i played… Right now the lowest X-sub frequency is 32.7Hz (C1) which is already too low for vast majority of speakers anyway. So having it a range to extend it down to i.e. E0 (20Hz) would be very cool.
In any case, the point is that the root note is by the lowest of the x-sub, right now its not

I had a look and you need to enable velocity sensitivity and doing the velocity ramp works then!

Any update on this guys? The Seaboard sits unused, waiting to slide those 808s around like a champ

SubLab is amazing, well worth the money imo! +1 for being able to retune to 432 even if there could be a cents slider next to the semitone one in the global tuning panel? Also maybe an easier way to delete imported samples, as it stands when I delete from the imported folder the samples then appear as ‘Missing’ in the browser and you have to select ‘Forget’ one by one. Not a massive deal breaker just handy for when you’re experimenting with samples that aren’t necessarily kick drums and dont want to clog up your browser.

Thanks!

@konchis141, all good points. We’ll add a ticket for micro-tuning, an easy way to add this would be to press ctrl and then when adjusting the slider it switches to a smaller range, say 0.1 of a semi-tone.

I’ll put a ticket in a the backlog for the missing samples, good point about adding multi-sample forget.

Amazing man thanks, appreciated!

Adding to the pile for microtonal capabilities. Would buy this instantly if so.

Hey Gavin,

I really like this plugin great job so far, The only feature that could be added which i think has been perhaps mentioned already, make it so that the synth and the sampler have independent eqs on them so that way I can low pass the sub and high pass the sampler. that would be so awesome if I could do that.

again thanks for the innovative plugin!

Hi,

Just got SubLab and spent the better part of a day with it. Awesome plugin for the price.

Feature requests:

  1. pitch envelope release = pitch drop
  2. x-sub linking to synth envelopes (especially pitch envelope)

I tried a workaround for the first item without ideal results because of the 2nd item: setting the pitch envelope sustain to a percent and then compensating with the global tuning. Unfortunately x-sub does not directly follow to the oscillator tuning or envelopes, so it can’t be used with pitch envelopes

Hi, Bought SubLab yesterday… Great Plugin, having a lot of fun with it.
Have a FR:
I am currently using a smaller keyboard than i would normally use, and I constantly have to drop it two octaves to play sublab… Would be nice to have either a global knob that allows me to transpose…
the current transpose one seems somehow per patch… or at least allow me to lock it at 2 octaves below. .thanks

Hey @zvenx

Enable “FL Studio Mode”, check the image below…
