Hey @Jfrancis84
Have you contacted support? My feeling is that 10.13 might be something to do with it but let us check here…
Also have you got the latest version 1.0.2?

I would love to see some Oversampling options directly from the plugin to reduce aliasing since we’re dealing with some very harmonic rich sound sources here and a lot of high frequency content
Been a while since I requested it but I’m still hoping/waiting for sustained groove transformer notes. I guess I’m the only one who expects it to work that way by default. It can’t be a super hard change to code it that way, right? It’s absence makes me not reach for Notes very often. ![]()
I guess I should mention that I’m using it in Reason which still doesn’t see MIDI Out from VSTs so I can’t record the MIDI out from Notes, otherwise I could just lengthen the notes in the piano roll. So, part of it is my “setup” but I really do think sustaining the notes makes more sense as the default behavior rather than the notes just releasing at some totally arbitrary time.
@Gavin_FAW When importing Decent Sampler bundles, there should be a way if possible to bookmark the library path instead of having to restart the search every time from scratch. I have a ton of them and I’m having to keep going back and forth to import these intruments
Good point @oceanxxsounds let us fix that in 1.0.4 ![]()
I’m a huge fan of generative music, so what if Notes contained a module/mode that generates notes and/or chords? Maybe Markov chain based approach?
Yup…that makes total sense and we are actively looking at it @KiLa
Have you seen an implementation of it you liked already somewhere else?
Unfortunately not. I have tried several things from different vendors but so far they all seem to be just random value/note generators.
I created one (random generator) for the VCV Rack that was using Markov Chain for gerating notes, and it sounded ok-ish, sometimes. Now I’m trying to convert that into VST3 using JUCE.
All the ones that I hvae used, including my own, didn’t handle sustained notes that well: they just respond to the next gate/note on message and produce the next note to play.
Its a challenge, but lets see ![]()
@KiLa we’re working on this right now…what we are trying is to apply variations based on rules system. Stay tuned!
Nice to hear! It would be nice if you decide to add more of these generative melody creation aspects. Remember to expose these features also into automation - user can then instruct Notes to generate new melodies via automation.
Can you just tell me flat out if holding the key down with a groove transformer will sustain the final played notes in the groove sequence? I’ve had some vague reassurances in the past but we’re here over a year and a half later and this feature is still absent. The strum transformer sustains the notes you hold down the key, so I’m not sure why groove doesn’t work the same way. Can you be honest with me so I can move on if its not really going to happen.
@rszwec we can totally have a look at this, maybe adding as a setting in the voice page?
That would be great!
Any update to this?
