we’ve got the first beta ready for the Notes 1.0.4 update!
Here are the changes so far:
1. Added Triplet option to the arpeggiator
2. Noise Engine B bug fixed
3. Sampler zoom doesn’t reset when you save a preset
4. Associate chord pack is deleted when the preset pack is deleted
5. Fixed Vintage insert FX selection
6. Added a BPM setting to the standalone
7. Fixed missing sample bug in the sampler engine
Nice! Waiting for Windows installer.
Now is as good a time as any… I keep forgetting to put in a FR for your installer.
I use and only use vst3, and everytime I use your installer (because it doesn’t give me choice of format like many others), I have to manually delete the AU format, which I have zero use for.
At least you aren’t as bad as a few others, that also install AAX and CLAP..

No issues so far.
Though the installer (windows) was unable to overwrite the .dll in my custom vst folder. Had to delete the file manually for it to write.

Hello! I have sent a message to the FAW support team using the website a few weeks ago, but I didn’t get any answer about the bug I experienced, so I’m going to talk about it again here.
A bit after I purchased Notes, I found out that most of the presets on Windows 11 + Reaper have issues with the A engine, with some sound supposed to be listenable, but not doing anything at all, even if I try to mess a bit with the signal path, for likely random reasons since it didn’t do that with all the presets…
Specifically, it happened with one of them, the one called PC Police. Whatever I did, with the morph fader on middle position or on the top, no sound is going outside the A engine. Finally, I did catched a clue, and I did a video of it so you can reproduce the bug. Apparently, there is a function that is not working properly on the sampler type engine, which is the “chord root play” option. If I disable it in the sampler engine, and then enable again the instruments engine, the PC police preset does have sound going from A engine as expected. Sounds like a bug affecting a lot of presets in Notes!
Can you have a look and tell me if you can reproduce the issue on your side? Thanks in advance

Hello! You’ll tell me if you can reproduce the bug on your side and if you see how you can solve it.
I have reported it basically three times now since launch time, and almost all the presets have the issue, which makes the plug-in not usable unless I use the trick to enable again the engine A. I would love the bug to be properly solved so I can start going deeper into Notes functionalities without too much friction

Hi Ivan,
Yes, we can recreate it…the Instrument engine takes on the “mono voice” setting from the Synth engine, but it is not able to handle it. We have a fix and will release it in the next update.
To get around this, if you go back out to the synth engine and turn off “mono voice” which has the pointing down finger icon, you should be ok. Its a work around but should work until the fix is released.
