We’ve got a new beta of Notes for testing.
Firstly, the instruments are not bundled, so the download should be a lot smaller. In terms of features, we’ve worked on a couple of things related to editing chords and we would like some feedback on the workflows.
To edit chords, hover the chord name and then click the pencil icon. The edit window then appears, from where you can change the chords, do inversions by dragging the chord name left/right and transpose the chords by dragging the label up/down.
I am not getting in sound in standalone, even though I have had the full installs on this computer before… playing a preview I hear sound, but playing via my midi keyboard, no sound..
@zvenx can you launch the standalone and check the version number on the about page? You should see below for the version and build time. If that is different let me know.
Ok…so when you say “no sound” what does this mean. If you change say the audio engine from instrument to synth, does it sound?
What I am getting at is if you have “no sound ever no matter what I try” or just no sound on a specific preset and when you change the engine to synth, you can hear say a sine wave. If it is this last case, then what might be wrong is that you manually deleted the Instruments folder, but the new beta doesn’t ship with Instruments as we wanted to make the binary a smaller download.
Yeah, I’ve been working on it here…the installer was removing instruments, even if they were already installed.
I’ve updated the installer and just brought back instruments folder. The link at the top has also been replaced with the new installer that includes the Instruments folder.
