Made with Notes 🎶 Share your tracks here

Post something you’ve made with Notes — a beat, a finished track, or an experiment.

Looking forward to hearing what you’ve made.

This isn’t exactly a song, but I did do a little video overview with some presets I made and sound examples last month: https://youtu.be/1HYrCofS5F8

@ifdots Thanks for sharing! I liked seeing your strum experiments and learning from your observations (I reported the CPU heavy thing too).

:musical_notes: I’ve been making tracks with Notes w/help from SubLab XL. Some external drums + effects, each is a lush melodic adventure into my exploration of the possibilities within.

➜ All The Right Notes

Laidback chilled groove… improvised featuring multiple Notes with expressively-played chords (that go in surprising directions).

➜ Dreamsettled

Spacey lo-fi beat where I make the default +/- 12 pitchbend sing like a theremin.

➜ Faux Lobsterz

Digs into the textures and IDMy elements. Gets heavy at the end yet stays tender.

➜ Happy to Be Arrive

Bouncy and blissful with lotsa swing, this’ll make you SMILE, I find SubLab XL complementarily covers the low-end whilst Notes shines + sparkles!

➜ Power Nap Ballad

You can tell I had fun with the guitar wailing. Really had the space breathe and maxxed out that airy reverb at points.

I’m continuing to forage thru Notes, finding its particular flavors well-suited for these portals into fresh sonic worlds, and wanted to share my newest discoveries…

Rustic Endeavors

A medieval braindance-adjacent embarkation, I enjoyed tweaking presets further and finding sweet spots with those FX.

High Midnight

Swingy then gets into the heart of a horror-western, thanks to the guitar sounds provided. Gotta crank that distortion!

Beatless Tilt

ALL NOTES NO DRUMS. Kinda baroque with fancy flourishes.

Plant Metaphors

Organic in obvious ways, gone overboard with those flutey timbres. Check out the chord changes about 3/4 of the way thru. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

These are really cool @TORLEY! It’s awesome to hear Notes in action.

I really enjoy the medieval vibe in the first one and that kind of laid-back swing that builds up in the second. The link for the fourth is missing if you want to add it. Very curious about those chords now haha.

Fixed the link, thanks for listening and noticing!

ALSO @Julia can you please consider changing how links look on forum style? I noticed bold style isn’t that much different from plain text, and hyperlinks themselves are black like other text and don’t stand out — e.g., change appearance on-hover like gets an underline — so it’s easy to miss them.

Thanks for adding the link!

I finally fixed the links…they’re now underlined :tada:

EDIT: link fixed!
Hey everyone, here’s a short 8 bars loop I quickly made playing with Notes.
2 Notes instances + SubLabXL + an 808 beat

This is really cool Thibault! Thanks for posting

:waving_hand: I’m back and I wanted to share more tracks I made with Notes + external drums! Really enjoying the headspace this gets me into:

Lucid Pressure

Laidback, lazy yet intricately dense… feels like a walk after midnight.

Vinyl Snack

Notes’ strings and keys meet vinyl clicks ‘n’ cuts in a somewhat reassuring display of lushness, showing how delicate we can be.

Rings Out

I like exploring what Notes’ effects can do to enhance an already vibey sound, esp. when I let notes ring out (hence the name).

Tonal Modalities

The dancier, more energetic side with waveshaped bass put to good use as chords shift up and down the scale. Big hands-in-the-air at the end. :woman_dancing::raising_hands:

Listen to them all there @TORLEY really great to hear Notes being used in making tracks!!
