@Gavin_FAW There’s no sound coming out of the Windows version. I confirmed it by trying other synths and it’s just Notes. I’m using Bitwig Studio Version 6 that just released. Idk what’s going on but the plugin is generating sound within the plugin but no audio coming out of the device which I’ve never seen before.
Can you try the standalone version and see does that make noise, also do you have any other DAWs that you can test in?

I’ve always wanted to try this, but I only watch YouTuber Ave Mcree’s videos.
The Standalone version has no audio and no sound in Ableton Live either. @Gavin_FAW
And it was working before…so something changed between 1.02 and 1.0.3 that makes it not sound.
Can you answer the following:
- Can you change presets?
- When you press a chord, do you see something on the crossfader meters? (See image below)
- If you go to the main fx panel, do the meters show something coming out? (See image below)
- Finally, can you post your system step…if you go to the about page and then click “Copy Tech Specs…” and then send to me in private message…

That is very weird, you processor looks good….can you do a screen shot like what I just did showing the master FX section when you have no sound but are playing a chord

@Gavin_FAW I can try but my screenshot’s come out looking weird cause I’m on a multi monitoring system like three screens but I assure you that it looks just like yours with no sound coming out at all.
Hey Gavin and Ocean. I concur precisely as it is being told by Ocean. Initially in most DAWs (they do seem to effect somewhat, the choice I mean) it starts ok with respect to sound if luck is on your side. A sure fire way to bring the sound dropped out entirely is to change banks, especially when changing to LA Vibes which never worked once under any scenario (in “new” version I mean) - even with previous version’s library. There can be pops and glitches while changing presets in any DAW - this did not occur on the previous version, at all.
On another note, I updated my AMD graphics driver to latest while doing special steps to ensure that the OpenGL driver was updated as well, as that is not always the case under all circumstances (not DDU use.) This has fixed the Ableton Live loading issue and in this regard, things are now well - even in the newest “bad” version.

@Gavin_FAW @Chris77 Thanks for confirming what I’m dealing with and Gavin I’m starting to lose hope in Notes man. I’ve been waiting for these bug fixes for weeks now and still no dice
We made a lot of changes internally to Notes so that it could run better on Windows. We’re still in beta testing and we do need help from you both so hang in there with us as we work through everything.
The upside will be a faster smoother Notes on windows!

Ok guys, we’ve put 1+1 together….the LA Vibes not sounding was the key…it seems that the Chorus effect ( used heavily in LA Vibes ) on PC is not sounding right now.
@Chris77 and @oceanxxsounds can you both check?

Just an update…we’re working through all the code here and checking everything on both macOS and PC…we’ll have another update tomorrow.

@Gavin_FAW Yeah there’s still no sound even with chorus deleted from the patches. I even redownloaded this version also and reinstalled it to see if it worked and still the same

Ok @oceanxxsounds and @Chris77, we’ve updated the windows and macOS installers and you should now be able to hear sound. We’ve checked it here and the chorus is sounding in both versions. Can you have a test and see if it works for you?

In various DAWs and Patchwork, I’ve purposefully clicked presets and banks very rapidly to change them, this that and the other thing in an attempt to get it to funk out a little bit.
There is nothing unwell to say, and it seems great under all conditions, so far. That was very fast. Awesome, and excellent.
Ableton Live remains working well with AMD adapter.
