I think notes played using the Groove modifier should sustain on the completed chord as long as the midi key is held down. Right now it plays the “groove” and the notes go off automatically. Or at least have the option to sustain the chord on a held note. Hope this makes sense!
Yes I know what you mean @rszwewc…so no notes off in the groove transformer while the sustain pedal is down…
Even more simple - the last notes of the groove played should be held as long as you are pressing the midi key down. Just like the chords can be sustained indefinitely while a key is held down played without the Groove transformer
This is a bit tricky as the same note can be played twice in a single groove….
You turn on Groove transformer….you then play chord one. It start going through the chord and plays “C” “D” “E” “C”
You want “D” and “E” to sustain (there are only one of each) and then the final “C” also sustains….we need to run through a chord, find if the same note is repeated twice or more and sustain the last one only?
This is totally possible as its just some logic that reads the chord an groove…
That would work, but what I’m proposing is simpler. So it plays “C” “G” “A” “F” and it ends with A and F being played. So, the A and F should sustain as long as I am holding down the midi key. No need to worry about C and G if they are not among the last notes played by the groove transformer. The last notes only should be held as long as I am holding down the key.
Does that make sense?
I just saw that there is a dedicated Notes feature request post. Feel free to move this there. Sorry!
I’ll copy it over there ![]()
