We’re back at the work here and going through support requests.
For Notes, even when you purchase from PBoutique, once you activate it will tie that code to your account on the FAW site.
We’re doing another update to Notes right now, this will have the version number updated to 1.0.2…for Plugin Boutique, we sent over the updates but they might be on a go slow due to the holidays. Let us get the 1.0.2 over to them and I’ll chase it up then.
I checked my account on FAW and Notes is listed under Activation Codes. However, it’s not under Downloads. So I’m not sure how to get Notes updates other than waiting on PB.
It’s very strange that you say that the license is still tied to the PB account. You have all the info to know we have a valid license. You are just not providing the downloads to us. Thats a choice and not a technical thing
Hey @OrangeEssence it’s a technical limitation of how our website works. We do want to improve this, but it unfortunately isn’t a quick switch we can flip even though it might seem like it is. I’m going to get to work on figuring out how we can implement this for third party purchases.
In the meantime, these are the 1.0.1 installer links: 1.0.1 Notes macOS
Also…just to clarify there is a typo in the 1.0.1 macOS update () If you update Notes and check the Settings / Info page the version number still says 1.0.0. but you’ll see the build date is December 3 then you’ve got the latest version:
Thank you for your response @Gavin_FAW - I have opened Notes within Ableton Live, then successfully activated Notes with my serial number from PBoutique (which first trying to activate with an email and password failed and makes sense that it would fail). However, Notes does not show in my FAW account still. I then tried to deactivate Notes in Ableton Live, then reactivate it (this time successfully using my email and password instead of serial number.) However, Notes still does not show in my FAW account and I cannot download the updates.
Please let me know if I am missing something or what else I could try. I prefer not to rely on PBoutique’s update release schedule, as it is always behind the vendor…which I have found to be true on most plugins I get there.
I was just bitten by not having ‘keep transformers on’ as an option with a song I was using Notes on good to have the option now at least.
As everyone else said, Plugin Boutique isn’t really updating the versions yet, which is a bit of a bummer. If 1.0.2 is just about the corner too, though, I suppose I can wait to have that one be the one I (re-)install everywhere.
@ifdots If you want Note 1.0.1 while waiting for the 1.0.2 update to drop, Julia has dropped the links to the Mac and Windows installers for Note 1.0.1. Posted both a few messages up and at the beginning of this thread.
Hey @kiume could you go to Settings > Notes Settings and check to see if you have “Disable transformers on playback start” turned off? If that’s turned off then Notes will keep the transformers on.
Here’s the screen recording. You can see how the whole chord gets triggered ignoring the Arp transformer with both the “Disable transformers on playback start” off and on.
Hey! Thanks for sending the video. I just did some testing and can confirm I’m getting the same behavior. I’ve passed the info and video onto one of our developers and we’ll get that fixed for 1.0.2 which will be ready very soon.
