Wow, it’s hard to believe our first Notes update is already here 🎉

We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback so far and we’ve implemented our most highly requested feature….MIDI out!

Here’s what’s added:

- MIDI Out (here’s how to route the MIDI ➡ **[How To: MIDI Out 🎹](https://community.futureaudioworkshop.com/t/how-to-midi-out/2323)**)
- Button to keep transformers ON

You can find these two new buttons on the Settings \> Notes Settings page:

 ![Screenshot 2025-12-18 160539](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex027/uploads/circlesynth/original/2X/e/ea8c1b9b195280d9e8a74c9e69a3d4458efb1898.png)

Disable transformer on playback start: **OFF** will keep your transformers on all the time once you’ve turned them on.

You can download the new installers inside your **[FAW Account](https://www.futureaudioworkshop.com/my-account/)** now if you purchased directly from us, Plugin Boutique will post the new installers shortly 🙏

Update 12/30 | it sounds like PIB still haven’t updated the installers so I’m just going to post them here:

🔗 [1.0.1 Notes macOS](https://cdn.futureaudioworkshop.com/downloads/notes/Notes-Installer-1.0.1-161225-macOS.dmg)

🔗 [1.0.1 Notes Windows](https://cdn.futureaudioworkshop.com/downloads/notes/Notes-Installer-1.0.1-161225-Win.zip)

Also…just to clarify there is a typo in the 1.0.1 macOS update (🙃) If you update Notes and check the Settings / Info page the version number still says 1.0.0. but you’ll see the build date is December 3 then you’ve got the latest version:

Is the windows version still named 1.0.0?

Cause these are what in my account.

The Windows installer shows Notes-Installer-v1.0.1.exe but when I open the application, goto settings then to About it’s still reporting as version 1.0.0. I did do a complete uninstall. Then a clean install to make sure it wasn’t any errors on my end.

Version: 1.0.0
Build Date: 16 Dec 2025 3:25:00pm
Format: Standalone
JUCE Version: JUCE v7.0.10

Operating System: Windows 11

Also is it possible to incorporate ASIO drivers in the standalone windows version?

Hey! Okay…the build date looks correct so maybe just the number wasn’t updated. Will look into it here.

Does your ASIO driver show up as an option here? (if you click options at the top \> audio/midi settings)

- No, it’s not an option to select ASIO in the Audio Device type.

- Notes is crashing inside of FL Studio. I sent a crash report to Image Line.

Good to know that it was not only me to have problems with update installation.
Several times of try failed. I guess it is not user side’s fault.

Hi Gavin,

I am already talking to Julia about update failure which keeps installing 1.0.0 with update installer names as 1.0.1 version on my mac.

Ok, you have 1.0.1…we need to bump the version number but if they installer is 1.0.1 your on the correct version.

In Notes 1.0.1 (in Ableton Live 12 on MacOS), if I send midi notes to Notes to play a chord and enable a transformer (like Arp), and I try to loop it, after looping it doesn’t enable the transformer anymore and just plays it without the transformer. Any ideas why this happens?

When will us Plugin Boutique customers get the updates? I got an email recently about an update for SubLabXL too and it said the PB update would be there in a few hours. I don’t see it available anywhere. Why can’t you guys just make the latest downloads available to us on your website also? You know we registered the software.

OK, even though it is still 1.0.0 I have found new added features are there, but I am confused how do I use those new features. I know there was Export to MIDI from the 1.0.0 version. So I guess Output Transformer MIDI should export MIDI with strum, reversed, arpeggiated form. How do I do that? I am working on Logic Pro 11. Because it always exported as original form.

@Julia @Gavin_FAW Is there any way to please have our licenses (e.g., Notes) purchased from third parties (e.g., Plugin Boutique, Splice, etc.) added to our FAW accounts? This would allow users to manage their licenses all in one place and also solve the issue of users waiting for the third party to release the update.

PS: 9 days after the Notes 1.0.1 release has been out, Plugin Boutique still doesn’t have the Notes 1.0.1 update available. Please help…🙏🏾✨

Hey @iamheroTV

We’re back at the work here and going through support requests.

For Notes, even when you purchase from PBoutique, once you activate it will tie that code to your account on the FAW site.

We’re doing another update to Notes right now, this will have the version number updated to 1.0.2…for Plugin Boutique, we sent over the updates but they might be on a go slow due to the holidays. Let us get the 1.0.2 over to them and I’ll chase it up then.

Thanks for the patience!

Gavin.
