I would like the chord progressions to be able to use all available play styles. I read through the thread and didn’t see it requested.

Example: Let’s say I use Chord Sampler and it gives me Amin – Fmaj – Cmaj – Gmaj. I then would like to browse different the grooves/play styles and apply it to my chord progression. So Chord 1 stays Amin but I can use the groove from LA Vibes \> After Last Night.

Right now the workaround is to first find a chord set with play styles I like. Then edit each chord in the chord set.

Hey @Blakstatus ! You can do that like this:

1. Hover over the play style icon and click the little tab with three dots above.

2. Then you’ll see this menu. Click to expand the “Chords” box and it’ll show you all the other packs. You can choose the play style from any chord progression you want!

Hey @Julia Did you look at my example? I know how to choose different chord sets/grooves like you’ve shown, but that still doesn’t solve my ask.

Let’s say I created this progression using The Lab:

 ![FAW Chords 1](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex027/uploads/circlesynth/original/2X/5/5f2f3462d15fcfe9cb790aa77d5f1bf729277071.png)

Then I select a playstyle like you shared:

 ![FAW Chords 2](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex027/uploads/circlesynth/original/2X/b/bfd1f42fbd6a8c4657309fe9492aabc5334843a4.jpeg)

It doesn’t use the playstyle. It just plays the chords as shown in the first screenshot. Or am I doing something wrong?

Ok, I can see what your trying to do…if you click “Chords”, and pick a different palette, it applies the timing from the one you select to the currently loaded chords.

One thing that would make this easier is to add the same functionality to the chord edit page…see image below, let me know if this would work and can implement it.

Yes, that would work for me

@Blakstatus We’ve added the feature you requested in the latest beta, which you can download here… “Dew Drops” with the groove from “Dice roll” etc…

Hey…so we’ve almost implemented all of the requests for features. See the list below:

@rszwec …hold the groove’s notes while the transform key is down. Done and ready for testing.
@jchan53 …latch for Ramp and Reverse. Done and ready for testing.
@jchan53 …more tension scales like Locrian and Phrygian. Both are in the chord editor’s scale menu, plus a Phrygian Drill recipe. Ready for testing.
@kory …glide and portamento. Done and ready for testing.
@Blakstatus …apply any palette’s groove to my own chords. Done and ready for testing.
@NNOIRR …scale quantize in the chord editor. Done and ready for testing. Live chord recording via MIDI is still on the list.
@KiLa …generative chords. Partly: the new From Scratch suggestion engine and recipes are in and ready for testing. A fully generative mode with automation is still on the list.
@Janvdt …mono legato click. Done and ready for testing.
@Janvdt …key-split between the two engines, and an effects-only plugin. Not yet.
@Tepa …lock chords between dice rolls. Done and ready for testing.
@zvenx …choose which formats the installer puts in. Done and ready for testing.

The latest beta with all the above is in the main notes beta 1.1.5 thread here:

How about add the ability for Notes to host VTS from other manufactures. Like Kontakt or Analog Lab.
